tain. Besides Aubrey, some other members of the Royal Society also believed in the authenticity of witchcraft. They included Robert Boyle, the greatest scientist of his generation. In 1658 Boyle created a sensation when he endorsed a book intended to prove the truth of witchcraft. While the Royal So
ciety had no official policy on the reality of magic, several influential members sought to reconcile belief in witchcraft with the latest findings from scientific research. Joseph Glanvill and Henry More wrote weighty texts explaining that demons and witches were real and could be explained scienti
fically. They defended the persecution and execution of women for witchcraft. The books of these learned men provided a rationale for the last lethal witch craze in England, Scotland and America. These works were read avidly in Massachusetts by those responsible for the infamous Salem witch trials o
f 1692.Aubrey himself was guilty of a terrible double standard; he had no apparent qualms about the judicial killing of poor women for witchcraft while he secretly practiced black magic. Tony McAleavy has a degree in History from the University of Oxford and was formerly schools history adviser fo
r Gloucestershire Local Education Authority. He has written many school textbooks on different history topics for Cambridge University Press, Harper-Collins and Hodder Education, and has also written extensively for English Heritage. He was for many years the academic editor of the Cambridge Univers

甚麽是親中？中國－馬來西亞關係近況發展的6M分析（2013年－2018年）

2013年至2018年之間，中國與馬來西亞之關係可謂是達到了新高點。在此期間，中馬兩國在許多面向展開合作關係，包括軍事、經貿、教育及文化等等。雙方的合作關係甚至成為了馬來西亞2018年全國選舉的重點議題之一，當時執政者以首相納吉．拉薩（Najib Razak）為首，其發起或支持的許多中馬合作工程案備受質疑，被批評是「親中」的表現。其中一個大力批評納吉親中的群體為希望聯盟（Pakatan Harapan），而他們於2018年全國選舉中的勝利無意間也被刻畫成「反中派」的勝利。整起事件的過程中，「親中」的使用似乎是貶義用途。2019年「反對逃犯條例修訂草案運動」開始時，馬來西亞普遍華裔也高度關注此
事，而「親中」與「反中」逐漸成為了嘲諷意味極重的政治標籤。馬來西亞在2013年至2018年之間與中國的互動關係似乎也被貼上了一樣的標籤。甚麼是親中？本研究認為目前「親中」作為形容詞的用法帶有犧牲自主權，並妥協自身立場的含意。中馬關係中是否真的有如此現象？現今有關兩國互動關係的理論架構，主要以「遠近」為衡量單位，或是以國對國之反應來判斷其關係之本質，如：新現實主義中的「抗衡」（Balancing）、「扈從」（Bandwagoning）或「避險」（Hedging）。然而，由此角度並未能充分解釋「親中」，因為這些理論主要以國家行為者（state as actor）為衡量基準，缺乏了深入到社會層級互動
之考量。國家行為者制定決策的考量主要以可衡量之客觀元素，如：國家之硬實力（Hard power），但「親中」的表現似乎有意忽略此元素，以「偏好」（preference）作為制定決策之基本考量，社會行動者（societal actor）也因此是探討「親中」之定義重要的研究對象。本研究嘗試以Andrew Moravscik所提出的自由主義理論架構，結合Chia-Chien Chang及Alan H. Yang所提出的6M分析法，對中馬在2013年至2018年之間的互動過程進行分析，並以此探討「親中」之定義。馬國社會中第二大族群就是具有「中華情結」之華裔群體，馬國的「親中」表現極有可能由此開始。但本
研究發現馬國「親中」的表現除了源自於華裔社會行動者，也可能從處在執政層級之巫裔社會行動者。本研究以6M分析法歸納出2013年至2018年之間重要的「親中」事件，並總結出兩大「親中化」過程，即「由上至下」（國家行為者至社會行動者）以及「由下至上」（社會行動者至國家行為者）。
B-26 ＂Flak-Bait＂: The Only American Aircraft to Survive 200 Bombing Missions During the Second World War

thor has held a special interest in the B-26, and especially those of the 387th Bomb Group. It was during his first visit to the National Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC, over 20 years ago, where ＂Flak-Bait’s＂ nose section was on display, that he became interested in what the aircraft had a
chieved during its illustrious career. Using official World War II-era records, the result is a day-by-day account of the missions it flew, crew lists, flight routes, and weapons dropped, and records any comments made by the various crews during their postmission debriefing. A special photo section
features the current restoration display of ＂Flak-Bait＂ at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Washington, DC. Correcting previously held perceptions about the aircraft and its missions, this is the most definitive account of any single World War II aircraft’s combat career ever published.
臺灣空軍人員軍事英語之需求分析

在台灣軍事英語所受到之注目與相關投資的金額差距頗大。此研究之英文需求分析主旨為探究臺灣空軍人員軍事英語的語言需求。一旦確認了空軍人員的英語需求，便能於將來研究檢視及加強現今課程中教學指導及內容。本研究運用量化及質性的方法進行一個包括二個階段調查的分析。第一階段先對軍事領域的專家作線上調查，以建立一份真正的任務清單。第二階段是對空軍軍職人員進行由第一階段調查結果綜整後之問卷調查。此研究受測者包含一群110位曾有在美軍售受訓經驗或國內軍售儲備的空軍軍職人員，以及一群105位沒有軍售相關受訓經驗的空軍軍職人員。在訪談部分，從二組受測者中分別選岀各7名的志願者參加深入訪談。本研究採用5級的李克量表問
卷與半開放式訪談兩種工具。本研究量化結果顯示兩組人員最常執行的是閱讀技令(簡報)，最困難的是會議內容口譯，最簡單的是聆聽一般對話。首先，根據調查結果即使有義務執行任務，缺乏培訓會影響沒有軍售經驗的人員溝通的意願。其次，沒有軍售經驗的人員覺得每項的任務對他們來說都非常困難。此外，這兩組人員都有遇過非語言因素的難題，包括在正式場合和心理壓力、術語和跨領域的部份及文化差異。最後，對四種語言技能的需求，結果顯示語言需求具有多向性和複雜性的特點。本研究為專業英語課程的教師提供了一些實際軍用英語任務的有用資訊，為負責決策的主管提供了方向，更希望為將來有意從事軍職的人作好迎接挑戰的準備。
